We strongly believe in giving back and helping make the world a better place. This is why we were excited to host the first LA fundraiser for The Akilah Institute. Akilah is the first and only college for women in East Africa offering a unique model of market-relevant education that empowers graduates for success in careers and leadership roles.
The event celebrated the 5th anniversary of Akilah and featured guest speakers from the organization including Nadine Niyitegeka, an alumnus of Akilah and Elizabeth Hughes, one of the co-founders of the Akilah. Both their stories of perseverance touched all 50 people who attended.
We are so thrilled to have been able to co-sponsor the event with Beth Harris, the Chair of the West Coast Leadership Council for the Akilah Foundation as it aligns with our goals for bringing more awareness to Women’s issues through our new division, The W Factor.
