Head into a supermarket or department store and you’ll find Betsey Borunda not only looking at the product on the shelves but also at the people who are buying the products.

Why?

Betsey is fascinated about the hows and whys behind people buying certain products. Good thing she is curious about people because she also used her curiosity to help brands figure out why people buy their products throughout her career.

From coffee creamers to skin care to ice cream, Betsey has worked on every consumer marketing brand out there – well, almost every. Some of the well-known brands she’s worked on include Coffee-mate, Nescafe, Caress, Vaseline, and Lever 2000.

But working on brands isn’t her only forte. Prior to joining the Haig Barrett team, Betsey worked in the entertainment space, bridging her love her brands and pop culture together as one. Talk about a winning combo!

Besides watching people shop, analyzing numbers (because she’s a numbers geek), and strategizing about the next big idea, Betsey loves the outdoors. Give her a backpack and she’s good to go just about anywhere to explore. But these days, she’s traded in her backpack for a stroller as she takes her 1-year-old son exploring. Something tells us he’s going to be just like his mom, a curious one.

As for Betsey’s superpower, she would love to time travel. This way she can get a sneak peak about how the future unfolds and go to back to the past to learn some important lessons to apply in the present. Marty McFly better watch out. A new time traveler is in town.
